Description

The Magnolia Grandiflora is a plant that is indigenous to the Southern United States, from East Texas to Southeastern North Carolina and Central Florida. The plant itself is particularly well-liked in traditional culture, and in 2018, a famous Southern Magnolia that President Andrew Jackson had planted 200 years earlier finally grew to maturity. Typically, Magnolia Grandiflora has a single stem (or trunk) that is shaped like a pyramid. Simple, widely oval leaves with smooth margins measure 12–20 cm in length and 6–12 cm in width.

They have yellow-brown pubescence on the underside, are dark green, rigid and leathery, and frequently scurfy. Large, beautiful, fragrant white flowers with six to twelve petals and a waxy texture, up to 30 cm across, appear in late spring on mature trees.

They have a lemon citronella aroma. If this plant is wall-trained, prune it in group 1 in the summer or group 13 in the spring when the growth begins.
When taking care of this plant, take precautions against potential pests and diseases.
