Description
Astelia ‘Silver Spear’ is a beautiful evergreen perennial that is well known for it’s silvery foliage. This evergreen pernnial originates from New Zealand. The foliage form a large clumb in a shade of silver and green, that looks similar to swords. It’s unique foliage would make a great addition to any garden, and would look even better planted as a group of three or five. Silver Spear thrives in moist but well drained soil, with full sun or partial shade. Pruning is recommended during the spring to remove any dead foliage and to help keep the overall appearance of the plant.
